SINGLE REVIEW: Tom Ryder's 'Here We Go Again'

April 2024 · 2 minute read

British pop-folk singer/songwriter Tom Ryder has released his catchy new single ‘Here We Go Again’. The track has great lyrics and a really toe-tapping beat, while Ryder’s vocals are smooth and very folk infused.

Tom has been a musician since he was a teenager and his growing maturity is clear to hear in the lyrics of his latest single, while his voice has a great gravel to it and a wonderful folk melody.

The rising star even has a very famous fan, the one and only Sir Rod Stewart. Stewart saw him perform live a while ago and after the live show, Sir Rod told him: “Well done tonight. If you want it, and you love it, stick at it.”

Thankfully Tom Ryder listened to Rod Stewart’s advice and has “stuck at it”. His debut EP ‘Strings Attached‘ was released in April of last year and it received airplay and support across 39 BBC radio stations and he has also received backing from BBC Introducing.

And now he is back with his brilliant new single ‘Here We Go Again’. The song has a very calming and relaxing tone while still having a very pop based beat. The chorus gets stuck in your head and Tom’s folk vocals make for a perfect piece of pop/folk music.

RATING: 3.5/5.

Here We Go Again‘ will be officially released tomorrow!
