Reports have been going around that NeNe Leakes was fired from the Real Housewives of Atlanta and the star responded to the rumors on her Twitter account, seemingly laughing it all off! What is the truth?

NeNe’s latest post really sounds like it was her reaction to the firing speculations.

On her Twitter, she simply posted several laughing emojis but that was not the only post that caused people to think it was her response to the rumors.

On Instagram she also shared a meme-like picture of herself laughing and in the caption she wrote: ‘I can’t chileeeeeeee.’

The fact that she gave no context to either post caused fans to believe that she was indeed subtly addressing the axing reports.

As you might be aware, it’s being said that NeNe was not offered a new contract for the upcoming season of RHOA.

The first to claim this was the website lovebscott.com and their article on the matter was posted only hours before NeNe’s posts.

The timing, obviously only convinced people even more that she was laughing off the repot she was off season 13.

Earlier in the day, she also cryptically posted: ‘You are NOT gonna get away with this! I promise,’ something many assumed was  a reference to drama happening behind the scenes on the show.

In the meantime, her manager, Steven Grossman, released a statement via HollywoodLife that reads in part: ‘It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from RHOA. Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be. We are having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate.’
