Taylor Selfridge lost her job working with MTV, a new report from Us Magazine revealed this week. The network revealed they were canceling their 9th of June special starring Cory Wharton, and instead, aired the online dating reality series, Catfish.

An MTV spokesperson said in a statement to Us Magazine on Wednesday that they chose to pull Cory and Taylor’s special after recently unveiled racist statements from Taylor Selfridge. MTV says they’ll no longer work with her either.

In their statement, MTV claimed they stood behind the BLM protestors and also condemn any instances of racism. The 25-year-old reality star, however, claims she left willingly.

On her IG account, Taylor said she didn’t want to work with MTV’s Teen Mom OG anymore due to concerns about herself and her child. Taylor said that she didn’t have any respect for the business of reality television, especially for the way in which they apply certain rules to some people and not others.

According to Taylor, she has already addressed the mistakes she has made earlier in life, including during her conversation with Wharton’s ex, Cheyenne Floyd. Regarding her Instagram post, Taylor said she wanted to move on with her life.

As most know, this comes shortly after the firing of Dee Nguyen from MTV’s The Challenge, for comments she made regarding the Black Lives Matter protests. Taylor and Dee aren’t the only individuals to lose their jobs and endorsement deals amid the Black Lives Matter protests seen around the country and the world.

Earlier this month, Lea Michele, the Glee star, also lost her marketing deal with HelloFresh after many of her former co-stars and associates accused her of being awful to them on set.

Samantha Ware, for example, claims that Lea made her feel as if her “life didn’t matter” when they worked together on Glee. Insiders close to Glee‘s production team said that Lea wasn’t an “approachable” person and was often late.

Furthermore, Vanderpump Rules’ Stassi Schroeder and Kristin Doute were also dropped from the show for their purported treatment of Faith Stowers.
