On the 11th of February, Monday, Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas, who used to date each other approximately 12 years ago, managed to avoid an awkward situation while at the premiere of a new movie, Isn’t It Romantic. According to an insider who spoke with reporters from Us Weekly, the two singers “didn’t interact” at all while at the event.
Miley didn’t actually star in the movie. She was at the premiere on the behalf of her husband, Liam Hemsworth who has been recovering from kidney stones. Jonas was there with his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, whom with he just got married to this past summer in her native India.
The eyewitness who spoke with Us Weekly claimed Miley and Nick didn’t cross paths with each other at all. “She was off the carpet completely by the time they arrived,” the insider remarked. As it was noted above, Nick and Miley actually dated approximately 12 years ago from 2006 until 2007.
In 2008, Cyrus spoke about their breakup in an interview with Seventeen and she seemed fairly hopeful they would reconcile at some point. She said to reporters that she and Nick were very much in love with each other.

What’s interesting is how wrong she was. Miley and Nick both went on totally different paths and winded up marrying different people. Miley married Liam recently and Nick married Priyanka. On Monday, Priyanka spoke at length about her romance with Nick – a relationship which came as a bit of a surprise to many of their fans.
Moreover, there’s a ten-year age gap between both of them, something which fans have been bothered by. Thus far, it seems like everything is going great between them, and judging by recent interviews, Priyanka and Nick have similar “driven” personalities.
However, the age gap between them, according to sociologists, may prove to be their undoing. For the most part, age gaps between couples only correlate with longevity when the man is older than the woman, rather than vice versa.

That isn’t to say they won’t be able to make it work, but rather, statistically speaking, the odds are not in their favor. Hopefully, they can make it last!
