While Jonathan Rhys Meyers has found love with the Australian model Victoria Keon-Cohen, his former girlfriend Reena Hammer is enjoying her own new relationship.
“His name is Nick and he is a banker for a hedge fund,” says Reena whose mother, Ruby Hammer, co-founded the cosmetics line Ruby & Millie.
“We grew up together, but hadn’t seen each other since we were about 10. His father was, kind of, my godfather, but he passed away and Nick and I saw each other at the funeral.”
Hammer, 26, split up with the star of The Tudors and Velvet Goldmine, 35, in 2012 after an eight-year relationship in which she had helped the Irish actor battle his various demons.
Speaking at the launch of Donna Karan’s book, Stephan Weiss: Connecting the Dots, she says of her new boyfriend: “He is so lovely – like chalk and cheese compared to the last one. He’s, actually, a nice person.” Ouch.
How Rocknroll said Hello! to thousands
Explaining his decision to ban the publication of “embarrassing” photographs of Ned Rocknroll, Kate Winslet’s new husband, Mr Justice Briggs said Sir Richard Branson’s nephew was not a figure “in the public sphere in his own right”.
His honour would not appear to be a subscriber to Hello!. After Rocknroll’s engagement to his first wife, Eliza Pearson, was announced by her father, Viscount Cowdray, in Mandrake in 2008, the couple invited Hello! to their wedding, at which Princess Beatrice was among the guests.
The exclusive pictures were published on the cover of the magazine and spread over many inside pages. The couple were paid £32,000.
