John Adams is back with another breathtaking single, the gospel-tinged ‘See You Again’.
Following the release of ‘Things That Make You Beautiful’ a few weeks ago, ‘See You Again’ shows a different side to John as he channels a more contemporary sound. However, he continues to demonstrate his powerful storytelling ability and captures us with his haunting vocals.
John has become synonymous for his deeply personal songs, which are often thought-provoking for the listener. ‘See You Again’ is no different, as John explains the inspiration behind the track. “I wrote the song when a friend’s dad passed away, I wouldn’t consider myself a religious person but the only words I can ever find to comfort the people left behind is the hope that there’s a heaven.”
The accompanying visual is dark and hypnotic, yet allows John’s unique vocals to take centre stage. We love the gospel vibe to the track, as it gives the song additional strength. ‘See You Again’ is another flawless offering from John, making him truly stand out among the plethora of singer-songwriters in existence these days.
‘See You Again’ will be released on March 17, alongside ‘Things That Make You Beautiful’. Both tracks are set to appear on his forthcoming EP which is due for release in the Summer.
With soul-stirring tracks like these, 2017 just has to be John Adams’ year. His talent is electrifying, and his songs are full of raw emotion. Combined with a completely distinctive voice, John Adams is definitely one to watch.
‘See You Again’ and ‘Things That Make You Beautiful’ are available for pre-order now on iTunes.
