Asda shoppers were left in hysterics when a woman asked for a refund for some £1 daffodils she ordered from the store which she thought never arrived with her shop.
However, it turns out her partner thought the un-blossomed flowers were actually spring onions, and put them in the fridge with the rest of the shopping.
The shopper, Helen Newman, posted on Twitter a photo of the daffodils, saying: "Funny story. I ordered some daffs from Asda this week which didn't turn up so I complained and got a refund.
"Turns out Dave thought they were spring onions and they've been in the fridge for the last 3 days."
As you'd expect, the tweet has been well-received and many can't help but laugh.
The post has received almost 28,000 likes on Twitter, and even Specsavers responded to it saying: "See you soon, Dave".
Shopper Helen responded jokingly to the company saying: "Perhaps if your Cramlington branch answered the phone for him to be able to make a lens check appointment I wouldn't be picking flowers out of my burrito?"
Specsavers responded once more to say they would even send her some proper flowers, adding: "Dave, take note."
Others responded with their own hilarious daffodil stories, with one user saying: "Well I ask my 20 year old to stick mine in a vase. Him and Dave sound similar."
In Dave's defence, there's most probably hundreds of others who have also mistaken daffodils for spring onions.
On second thought, maybe not!
